A Message from the President...
It is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome you to our website. The purpose of this website is to provide information pertaining to our organization, members of this chapter, meeting minutes and current events.
It has been a long hot summer here in South East Texas, warmer than normal. We’ve even had a Tropical Storm and have a Hurricane (Gustav) currently headed this way! The chapter has been busy over the summer with Beach Cleanup at McFadden Beach, re-organizing the CG Day Celebration since that’s the day Tropical Storm Eduard decided to visit, along with gathering and distributing donations for our designated charity organizations, Port Arthur Women’s Shelter and the Veteran’s Hospital.
The Chapter was awarded the 2008 Outstanding Chapter Award for Small Chapter at the National Convention. I was very proud to accept this on behalf of all our members who have worked so hard during the last year making this happen. A special thanks to CWO Mary Sennholtz who took over the reigns as the Chapter Treasurer and collated all the documentation needing to be submitted for the award.
