This month we are taking nominations for officer's seats. Please email any nominations to me. In November we will vote in new officers and December we will swear them in at our Holiday party.
There is a Bataan memorial Death March being held in White Sands, NM. Senior Chief Valenti proposed that the CPOA have a team or two complete this event. The Lake Charles Chief's Mess is volunteering their time to assist their community in a park clean-up that occurred because some kids started a fire at a playground. Matt Valenti will be taking pics to put on the website.
Golden Triangle Chapter Accomplishments in 2010
Listed below are the things we accomplished this year with very few people being involved. Think of the wonderful things we could do this year if we have more participation! If you have suggestions on things to do, please let me know.

Hosted a spring picnic.

Attended the memorial for BMCS Pavini and MSTC Blome in Galveston.

Veterans Memorial clean-up (power washing, flower planting, etc).

Posting of colors on Veterans Day with 10 Chiefs or more in attendance.

Collected $850 for Junior Petty Officers to assist with holidays MSU PA and MSU LC (17 total) (Chiefs and Officers).

McFadden Beach Clean-up.

Christmas presents (Angel Tree)for 50 children in CPS.

Had a cook-out for PO who's home burned down. With CGEA having a bake sale collected $1900 dollars and lots of household goods collected.

Assisted Morale with the CG birthday picnic..grilling/dunk tank.

Assisted the CGMA with a cook-out to start the CGMA fundraising..grilling.

Had a fund raiser for a member from Morgan City whose wife has cancer (over 600.00) to help offset hotel bills and food while at the hospital.
